Terms of Service

Last updated: August 16, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your use of plainake.club and the consulting and training services offered through it. By using the site or purchasing a plan, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you book.

1. Who we are

plainake is a business consulting and management training company based at 200 S Wacker Drive, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60606, USA. You can reach us at info@plainake.club or (312) 555-0184, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 Central Time.

2. What we provide

We provide advisory sessions, operational and financial diagnostics, written plans, process documentation and structured management training. The specific deliverables, schedule and fees for your company are set out in the plan you select and confirmed in an engagement agreement before work begins.

3. No guarantee of results

We do not promise specific revenue, profit, growth or savings. Business outcomes depend on your market, your team, your capital and how consistently a plan is executed — factors we do not control. Figures shown on this website describe results reported by past clients and are not typical or promised outcomes. What we guarantee is the work itself: the agreed sessions, documents and reviews, delivered to a professional standard.

4. Plans, billing and taxes

• Plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in US dollars. Annual billing is discounted by 30% against the monthly rate.
• Prices exclude any applicable sales or use tax, which is added where required.
• Monthly plans renew automatically on the same day each month until cancelled. Annual plans renew each year unless cancelled at least 14 days before the renewal date.
• Failed payments are retried once. If payment is not received within 10 days, access to sessions may be paused until the balance is settled.

5. Cancellations and the 7-day guarantee

Every plan includes a 7-day guarantee. If the first week of work is not right for your company, email info@plainake.club within seven calendar days of your start date and we refund the full amount paid, without conditions. After the seven days:

• Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time before the next billing date, effective at the end of the paid period.
• Annual plans can be cancelled with a pro-rated refund of unused full months, less the value of any on-site workshop days already delivered.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

6. Scheduling and rescheduling

Sessions are booked Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 Central Time. Either side may reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. Sessions missed without notice are counted as delivered. If we cancel a session, it is rescheduled at no cost or credited to your next invoice.

7. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate financial and operational information; our recommendations depend on it.
• Name an internal owner for the plan who has authority to make decisions.
• Keep training materials for the seats you have purchased and do not redistribute them outside your company.
• Use the site lawfully — no attempts to disrupt, scrape at scale, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access.

8. Confidentiality

Information you share about your company is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the engagement. We do not publish client names, figures or documents without written permission. The same obligation applies to you regarding our proprietary frameworks, templates and training materials.

9. Intellectual property

All content on plainake.club — text, layout, illustrations, code and training materials — belongs to plainake and is protected by copyright. When you purchase a plan, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the delivered documents and templates inside your own company, for as long as you like. You may not resell, sublicense, publish or use them to build a competing consulting or training offer.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Illinois and US federal law, plainake's total liability arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the fees you paid to us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost business opportunities or business interruption.

11. Termination

We may pause or end an engagement if fees remain unpaid after notice, if requested work would be unlawful, or if conduct toward our staff is abusive. In that case we refund any prepaid fees for services not yet delivered.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before any formal action, both sides agree to attempt to resolve the matter in good faith within 30 days of a written notice sent to info@plainake.club. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows the current version. Changes affecting existing engagements take effect at the next renewal, and we email active clients before that happens. Continuing to use the services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
