2. Why we use it
- To respond to your request. Contacting you about a consultation you asked for, scheduling a call, answering questions.
- To provide services. Delivering diagnostics, advisory sessions, training and written plans under an engagement agreement.
- To run our business. Invoicing, accounting, record keeping and resolving disputes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
3. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply to you, we rely on: your consent (for the consultation form and any marketing email), performance of a contract (for client engagements), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Cookies and analytics
The site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential. Needed for the page to load and for security. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics. Aggregated statistics about visits, such as page views and traffic sources.
- Advertising measurement. If you arrived from an ad, a cookie may record that the visit came from that campaign so we can measure results.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not affect access to any part of this site. Embedded content, such as the Google Maps frame on our contact section, is served by Google and subject to Google's own privacy policy.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as far as needed: website hosting, email delivery, scheduling, accounting, and analytics or advertising measurement. These providers act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a valid government request, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. If our business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer to the acquirer under the same commitments.
6. How long we keep it
- Consultation requests that do not become engagements: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records and engagement documents: 7 years after the engagement ends, to meet accounting and legal requirements.
- Website and analytics logs: up to 26 months in aggregated form.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to: confirm what information we hold, provide a copy, correct inaccuracies, delete information, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
To exercise a right, email info@plainake.club with the subject line "Privacy request". We respond within 30 days and never charge for a first request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to client documents is limited to the advisors assigned to your engagement, protected by individual accounts and multi-factor authentication. Backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
9. International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers are located primarily in the US. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use existing information will be announced by email to active clients before they take effect.
